We met Lauren, Josh, their adorable daughter Bey and baby son Monroe, when they came to visit Basmaignée, in search of the perfect venue for their wedding.
Lauren and Josh knew exactly what they wanted in terms of ceremony location, reception arrangements, menu and entertainment options, and they knew that Basmaignée would provide the ideal settings for it all.
Approximately ten months after their first visit at the château, and after numerous email exchanges with Lauren and her amazing mom Shelley, there it was, the first day of Summer 2019, and the celebrations could start, under a magnificent sunshine. Not enough words could describe the beauty of their wedding, therefore we will simply let your appreciate the following photos.
Although it wasn’t the first wedding we held at Basmaignée, Lauren and Josh’s wedding was a first in many ways: the first wedding for an English couple, the first wedding we helped coordinate from start to finish, the first ceremony held in the woods (this was Lauren’s choice from the very beginning, and it is probably our most favourite ceremony location now), and we are very grateful to Josh and Lauren for trusting us and giving us the chance to work on the organization of their big day.
We wish Lauren, Josh and their family many many years of happiness together, may their journey in life be as beautiful and loving as their wedding day.
All of the photos above were taken by the most fantastic destination wedding photographer: Nick Wild – Beziique, about whom we will dedicate a more detailed article in the near future, as he and his talented wife Aimie deserve much more than a few words written about them.
